KEBUN ANGIN

Kebun Angin is a living scale prototype of a house to study the natural ventilation movement and the design approaches to enhance the indoor air movement flow. It focuses on the orientation and physical design on how to catch the crossing ventilation into the building along with the neutral plane positioning to allow maximum air flow into the building even without any wind blow around. Special features on the clerestory windows also were applied to provide an 'air jet' effect of the air movement into the building. Around 50% of the materials used for the building are recycled materials including the Chengal wood frames, doors, windows, railings and Clay roof tiles.
